Integration Guide

Using Zoom with NevTan Mail

How to add, use, and remove the Zoom integration in NevTan Mail.

Current availability

Zoom isn't offered as a provider when you create a new meeting while we wait on Zoom's approval to share meetings outside our own account. To add a Zoom call today, paste your Zoom join link into Enter custom link. Meetings already saved with Zoom stay editable and still show the connect and disconnect controls described below.

1. What this integration does

The Zoom integration lets you create and manage Zoom meetings directly while scheduling events in NevTan Mail. When you add a Zoom meeting, NevTan Mail creates the meeting on your connected Zoom account and attaches the Zoom join link to your calendar event and invite. Connecting Zoom is optional and is done per user.

2. Adding (connecting) Zoom

  1. Sign in to NevTan Mail and open the Calendar.
  2. Start creating a new meeting (New meeting).
  3. Set the meeting location/provider to "Zoom".
  4. Click "Connect Zoom". You will be redirected to Zoom to sign in.
  5. Review the requested permissions and click Allow to authorize NevTan Mail.
  6. You are returned to NevTan Mail, and your Zoom account is now connected.

3. Using the integration

Once Zoom is connected, you can add a Zoom meeting whenever you schedule an event:

  1. Create or edit a calendar event in NevTan Mail.
  2. Choose "Zoom" as the meeting option and set the title, date, time, and attendees.
  3. Save the event. NevTan Mail creates the Zoom meeting and adds the join link to the event and the invite sent to attendees.
  4. Attendees join by clicking the Zoom link in the invite or calendar event.

4. Removing (disconnecting) Zoom

You can disconnect Zoom at any time. This removes NevTan Mail's stored authorization for your Zoom account.

  1. Open the Calendar in NevTan Mail and go to the Zoom connection settings.
  2. Click "Disconnect Zoom".
  3. NevTan Mail deletes your stored Zoom authorization. Existing meetings already on your Zoom account are not deleted.

You can also revoke access from your Zoom account under Settings > Installed Apps in the Zoom Marketplace.

5. Permissions and data used

NevTan Mail requests only the access needed to create and manage the meetings you schedule:

  • meeting:write:meeting — create and update Zoom meetings on your behalf.
  • meeting:read:meeting — read your meeting details to show the join link and confirm a meeting before updating it.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. For details, see our Privacy Policy.
